What is civilization?

Humanity is, by nature, inherently “unstable” under any and all circumstances yet we always seem to try to wish this inconvenient truth away.
This is the childishness of mankind. Not the instability inherent to complex rapidly evolving beings, but the denial of its reality.

Our experience is liminal. We are not comfortable with this.
